Rajan is a branding expert, marketing strategist and technology enthusiast with 20 years experience in B2B and Tech. He spent nearly a decade as the senior marketing executive at Peer 1 Hosting. An early-growth stage IT firm when he joined, Rajan developed a branding and demand generation strategy that helped turn the small Canadian company into a global industry player that recently sold for over $500 million.

While at Peer 1, he managed a multi-million dollar budget and a talented team across Canada, US and UK razor-focused on executing his marketing vision through SEM, social media, public relations, thought leadership and events. His most notable campaign was the “Map of the Internet” infographic and mobile app, which earned widespread coverage including CNN, Fast Company, Popular Science and Gizmodo.
His endless passion for marketing, along with his Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Small Business from the University of Victoria, came together in 2006 with the launch of BIG Marketing for Small Business. Today, his blog is recognized by For Dummies®, TopRank and AllTop as a leading educational resource for marketers, entrepreneurs and small businesses.
Through his consulting firm, Brandmark Communications, Rajan provides branding and digital marketing services, and is a business advisor for several startup technology firms based in his hometown of Vancouver, British Columbia.
