Every year we celebrate each of our staff member’s birthday with a gift from PEER 1. With 250 plus employees, it can sometimes be a challenge to come up with a suitable gift. In past years, we’ve done glass mugs and tote bags. This year, we wanted to do something a little more meaningful and we found it in the form of Mondonation. I’ve talked about Mondonation and its founder, Ward Bingham before. He started a global movement built around the idea that if we all share our beliefs on a daily basis, by wearing them on our bodies, they will grow in strength. In this spirit, he provides “I Believe” t-shirts that people can order with their personal belief printed on the back. A portion from the sale of each shirt is donated to the charity of the person’s choosing. As of today, Mondonation has raised $29,646. Each of our staff members will be receiving one of these t-shirts for their birthday this year. The response from staff so far has been overwhelmingly positive and inspirational.
