Every year we celebrate each of our staff member’s birthday with a gift from PEER 1. With 250 plus employees, it can sometimes be a challenge to come up with a suitable gift. In past years, we’ve done glass mugs and tote bags. This year, we wanted to do something a little more meaningful and we found it in the form of Mondonation. I’ve talked about Mondonation and its founder, Ward Bingham before. He started a global movement built around the idea that if we all share our beliefs on a daily basis, by wearing them on our bodies, they will grow in strength. In this spirit, he provides “I Believe” t-shirts that people can order with their personal belief printed on the back. A portion from the sale of each shirt is donated to the charity of the person’s choosing. As of today, Mondonation has raised $29,646. Each of our staff members will be receiving one of these t-shirts for their birthday this year. The response from staff so far has been overwhelmingly positive and inspirational. If you’re looking for something new to recognize or reward your employees, clients, and/or suppliers. have a look at Mondonation and give the gift of change.

Wow, is that fantastic thing to do. Even though it is just a T-shirt but it means a lot when you get it on your birthday from your organization. It signifies that you are also an important member of the firm and everyone wants you to be for years.

There seems to be an increasing trend of people using fashions to promote social awareness. I’ve been hearing more and more about sites that offer similar products, but not one that actually let the customer choose the saying/belief. I think it’s about time people start thinking about important things, and if this is one way to get that, I’m all for it.
