As posted on the Unjustly blog, a popular and large UK-based wine chain is offering an exclusive 40% discount on ALL of its spirit products for 10 days between November 30th to December 10th. The catch? You must present a coupon that is ONLY available online. There are no ads, billboards, or any traditional media being used to communicate this offer. You have to find it online or receive it from someone. This is a great strategy of converting online traffic in to in-store traffic. I can just imagine the number of people in the UK sending this coupon around to all their friends. I’m surprised more retail companies are not doing this – especially with the holiday season fast approaching. read more

Surely this is how most offline businesses should be using the Internet?

I’m going to think about this and see if it’s applicable to my small business customers.
